The angled rod holders on a Fish Pro cooler are attached via plastic clips and it is not recommended to use these rod holders for fishing or trolling lures, the GC Jetski Fishing Trolling Rod Holders are a solid aluminium construction, tig welded for strength and will not break off.
The high angle of the existing rod holder is not ideal for fishing a lure while on the drift, if a fish pulls hard it is at an angle where a broken rod can be the result if your drag is too tight, this rod holder kit will give you a much more suitable fishing angle from your rod holder when drift fishing, and also a much wider lure spread when trolling with multiple rods at once.

The rod holder tubes are press formed and also have a gimbal pin. The press forming process rolls the top and bottom edges of the tubes, creating smooth edges all around which will not damage your rod grips. Other brands almost always choose the cheaper option of a cut length of pipe with a plastic insert in the end, which protrudes into the pipe and can damage rod grips over time, yet claiming to prevent this, and can even come loose falling off and getting lost, that is why we opt for premium quality purpose built rod holder tubes.
